OUR STORY
Originally established in the early 90's as a part of the legendary Stereoshop, Inc., in Oct. of 2018, The Stereoshop Mobile, LLC embarked on a significant renovation and expansion to become it's own independently owned and operated entity.
Offering an enhanced product selection and custom fabrication center, we design, install and service the highest quality car electronics on the market. We do so through friendly and knowledgeable staff and a strict attention to detail when it comes to your vehicle.
Our MECP certified staff are “engineers and artists” providing custom engineered and visually pleasing systems. Whether you need enhanced entertainment, aftermarket safety or on-board convenience, we will provide you with the greatest in-car electronics experience.

EARLY YEARS
From a very early age, Dan was brought into a life surrounded by cars, electronics, and premium audio.
His grandfather started Barrett's TV and cable in 1973 to bring cable TV to a rural area of upstate Pennsylvania. In 1990, Dan's dad and decided to join the family business in cable TV and electronics repair. In his free time he also had a side hustle of supplying sound and lighting to bands coming to town.
GROWING UP
Being a musician from a very young age, Dan loved the atmosphere of live music and loudspeakers. These experiences lead him into a life that almost seemed inevitable. At 12 years old, Dan had his first experience with subwoofers in a car, and "the rest was history" as they say. Cars, and the electronics that can be added to them, became his passion. He graduated high school a year early and moved to Greensburg PA where on his first visit coming into the town, drove past The Stereoshop and knew he had to check it out. He had worked at a car stereo shop part time during high school and decided to apply for a job. With the lack of install experience, he was declined the opportunity, and was told to come back when he had a few more years of experience. He immediately went to the local Best Buy store and applied for a sales position in the car audio department. His stint in sales didn't last long as he moved into the installation department, where he excelled and moved up through the ranks quickly.
THE STEREOSHOP INC. TO NOW
After serving thousands of customers from the Greensburg area, it became time to move on to a more custom environment. He reapplied to The Stereoshop downtown and got the job! He worked there for about 3 months before assigning him custom mobile tech Team Lead. With a growing clientele, Dan has had customers come to him from other states such as Connecticut, West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, and others because of his unwavering attention to detail, his ideas, and experience.
Fast-forward 10 years and thousands of customers later, in 2019 Dan purchased the mobile electronics portion of the business from The Stereoshop Inc. His vision is to continue to create a place that people in the area know they can go to get whatever they need to enhance their driving experience. Whether it's a state-of-the-art custom designed audio system, or a drivers safety system like Apple Carplay, or a back-up camera system, every wire connected, or panel removed from the vehicle is done with precision and care. Although there are a lot of things that go into making a business like this one operate, the most important part for Dan is to get that final smile from the customers face when they drive off.
